POSITION: Job Captain
REPORTS TO: Principal, Project Manager/Project Architect, Project Designer

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years work experience in the production of architectural design development drawings and construction documents is required.
- 3+ years experience developing architectural design development and construction documents using Revit is a requirement. Proficiency is Revit is required.
- Experience with Public educational projects is preferred, but not required. DSA experience is a big plus.
- Experience assisting with Construction Administration phase is preferred, but not required.
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in Architecture is preferred, but not required.
- Architectural License in the State of CA or actively seeking licensure, is a plus, but not required.
- Experience working in a collaborative architectural production environment is preferred
- Well-versed in conventional drafting standards of architecture associated with the preparation of design development and construction documents. This knowledge should include, but is not limited to, dimensioning, sheet layout and document organization, etc.
- Working knowledge of Bluebeam and AutoCAD is required, a higher level of proficiency is a plus.
- BIM 360 experience is a plus.
- Intermediate understanding of the California Building Code (CBC) and life safety requirements.
- Strong understanding of building systems and detailing, including daily coordination with consulting Engineers.
- Highly-effective graphic, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, participating in drawing and document production for a variety of team projects.
- Self-motivated with high level of critical-thinking ability.
- Willingness to learn and develop own skills, as well as train and mentor other employees.
