POSITION: Staff Designer
REPORTS TO: Principal, Project Manager/Project Architect, Project Designer

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate from a NAAB-Accredited/NAAB-Equivalent Architectural College or University Degree preferred; or candidate with an Associates degree in process of acquiring an Accredited Degree
- 2+ years experience developing architectural projects using Revit is a requirement.
- 2+ years work experience in the production of architectural design development. drawings and construction documents, is preferred but not required.
- Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) experience is preferred, but not required.
- Beginning to intermediate knowledge of conventional drafting standards of architecture associated with the preparation of design development and construction documents. This knowledge should include, but is not limited to, dimensioning, sheet layout and document organization, etc.
- A working knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred, but not required.
- BIM 360 and Bluebeam experience is a plus, but not required.
- DSA experience is a big plus, but not required.
- Beginning to intermediate knowledge of the California Building Code (CBC).
- Effective graphic, written and verbal communication skills.
- Adaptability to work on a variety of collaborative team projects.
- Critical thinking ability and willingness to learn and develop skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work collaboratively under the direction of the Sr. Designer, Project Manager/Architect, and Job Captain to complete design exhibits, design development drawings and construction documents
- Utilize Revit, BIM 360, Bluebeam, Adobe Suite and other software to complete project-required drawing submittals for Client and Agency review and approval.
- Support the Architectural production team with additional project assignments during the Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Document phases.
- Assist the Project Manager with Bidding and Construction Administration phases.
- Produce quality drawings and documents in accordance to office standards.
- Represent the firm in a positive and professional manner.
