Project Summary
The 46,600 s.f. two-story community center addition to the City of La Mirada’s City Hall complex houses:
- Administration offices
- Community meeting rooms
- Exercise, craft and classroom areas
- Family and computer resource centers
In addition, we designed a separate Sheriff Station with offices, an emergency operations center, interrogation and meeting rooms, officer locker rooms and showers that occupy half of the lower level and a portion of the facility’s second level.
Designed to provide senior services, a separate 21,900 s.f. two-story Senior Center occupies an adjacent location. It contains activity areas that include a multi-purpose room with a kitchen, crafts, billiards and game rooms, library and meeting rooms. The facilities’ design is a contemporary interpretation of the architectural expression established by the forms, colors and materials of the existing City Hall complex.
